Elizabeth Park, Thelwall

"I enjoyed the walk through the Park … but I do remember when the farmer used to have his cattle in that field and they escaped on a few occasions and enjoyed my Mum’s front lawn, her wall flowers etc."

"I can remember one sunny morning waking up to a moo and not the alarm clock and there was my Mum trying to shoo the cow out of the front garden.  Bearing in mind it had escaped thru the fence, crossed the road and up the drive and trampled on her flowers – she was NOT AMUSED. She had to ring the farmer to come and collect the cow. Think the cow was from Laskey Lane Farm which is now horse stables I think.

"The play equipment is all new and the path laid is new and the grass was non existent cos the trees were so tall that no light was allowed in so it was very dark and spooky to walk in the woods in the evening."
